El año nuevo chino corre de acuerdo al calendario lunisolar, y según el zodiaco chino, este 2018 es el Año del 狗(perro), pues para los chinos –y otros asiáticos que comparten estas tradiciones– con el año nuevo llega también un nuevo nahual. Durante este ciclo, el perro será destino y guía de todos nosotros.
Todos los años sin excepción los comerciantes del barrio chino nos invitan a todos los capitalinos a llenarnos del ánimo, fortuna y suerte que agita el aire esos días. De la calle Dolores cuelgan adornos chinos y durante los 4 días de celebración, los comercios están especialmente festivos: los restaurantes ofrecen platillos del año nuevo chino y las tiendas se llenan de artículos orientales especiales. Además a las calles salen estudiantes y maestros de Kung Fu y otras artes marciales a bailar la danza del león y el dragón chino.

Este miércoles de SOMA habrá un enfrentamiento poético entre zombies y fantasmas: los escritores Luis Felipe Fabre, Rocío Cerón, Verónica Gerber Bicecci y Guillermo Núñez combatirán con palabras sombrías, imágenes viscerales y vestigios posthumanos. Los zombies o fantasmas son recurrentes en la obra de todos ellos, de distintas maneras.
La actividad será realizada en el marco de la exposición de fin de curso de la Generación 2017: El movimiento no está en la pantalla.

Bucareli 69 está frente al famoso y legendario reloj chino, y su programa de música experimental, danza y cine es especialmente cuidado y bonito. Para este domingo organizaron Resonancias de eclipsares lunares, una serie de improvisaciones inspiradas en el eclipse total de luna del pasado 31 de enero, con instrumentos que se salen de lo común.
Daniel Milán usará los instrumentos kacapi (caja de resonancia), sulin (flauta de bambú), bansuri (flauta transversal de bambú) y voz; Carlo Prieto con violín y violín de juguete; Aleyda Moreno Ramírez con voz y copas de cristal y Max Manzano con Latas, Tres y Voz.
